How does it work?
We use the state of the art RevLite® C6 HOYA ConBio laser.
In the case of acne scars, our laser gently stimulates collagen production, which evens out the skin and improves its texture.
For freckles and pigmentation, the laser gently breaks down pigmentation that exists below the surface of the skin. The freckle or pigmentation can continue to fade in the days and weeks following the treatment, as the particles continue to be eliminated by your body’s natural waste system.
How many sessions will I need?
Results vary according to how significant your pigmentation or scarring is. Most cases or pigmentation or freckles can be treated with 1 – 2 sessions with pleasing results.
If you have significant acne scars or pigmentation problems, the settings of our laser treatment can be adjusted to treat them more aggressively. These cases will require approximately 4 – 6 treatments, at monthly intervals or so to gain optimum results.
Deeper pigmentation may require more than 6 visits.
If you are vigilant about sun protection, you can expect long lasting results.
Does it hurt?
Laser skin treatment works by emitting a strong beam of light in short pulses. Treatment has been described as similar to the feeling of a thin elastic band being flicked against the skin. All treatments are medically supervised and performed by trained staff.
Are there any side effects?
Our laser skin treatments do not remove any surface skin, reducing side effects significantly.
Some mild to moderate redness and feeling of light sunburn in the treated area may occur. This usually disappears within a day or so. Treatment may, in some cases, cause a temporary darkening of the pigmentation which fades after a few weeks.
As all of our treatments are conducted under medical supervision, we can offer after care guidance and advice to help you maximise results.
